Is anybody there... by Mary Bowmaker |
Is Anybody There… is a book about strange, unbelievable incidents that happen in every life. How do we view them? Do we say ‘imagination’, ‘coincidence’, ‘just one of those things’, or is there perhaps something more?
In this thought-provoking, self-help book of the so-called ‘paranormal’, we seek to find answers to the unexplainable, and answers to the question posed in the title.
This book is not about religious dogma or creed in any shape or form. It is about lives. The lives of ordinary people who, for one reason or another, have been touched by this ‘unnamed something’. It is about their experiences – experiences that could happen to any one of us at any time, in any place.
I have just finished "Is Anybody There..." and found it very difficult to put down! A fascinating account of factual events happening to "ordinary" people which provides food for thought for even the most cynical. Loved it and can't wait to get into "Leaning on the Invisible" Helen Birkett
ReplyDeleteHello Mary, I have your book Is Anybody There and there is a story in there relating how after a womans husband died her telephone started playing radio and she thought this was paranormal. Telephones often play radio stations. They pick them up via their long wire connections.Their wires are so long they act as an antenna.
ReplyDeleteHi and sorry I have been away for so long, but all due to personal reasons. Now I am back again, can I answer the question about the telephone experience perhaps having an ordinary meaning, nothing to do with the paranormal. Well of course you could be right about this, but when it really is 'paranormal', there is always a 'something' about it, not easy to explain or define, that makes you realise that it is special. I thank you for your interest, Mary Bow.
